Domestic Violence Awareness Month

The Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence observes Domestic Violence Awareness Month every October to honor victims and survivors of domestic violence.  The Awareness Month is a call to action to help end abuse and increase safety in the community.  The Coalition’s October Newsletter featured the following quotation from UKS shareholder Richard S. Order, who heads UKS’s Pro Bono Program for Domestic Violence Restraining Orders:  “Whenever I represent a pro bono client on a domestic violence restraining order application, it reminds me of why I went to law school.”
