Daniel P. Ryan
Daniel P. Ryan is a Shareholder in the firm’s Hartford office and practices in the areas of business law, healthcare, commercial lending and banking and commercial real estate financing.
In his corporate practice, Mr. Ryan provides general corporate, business and transactional representation to various clients, including the formation and structuring of proprietary and non-profit business entities and organizations, the drafting and negotiation of business contracts and agreements; the consummation of debt, equity and mezzanine financings, the establishment of distribution and licensing arrangements and mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He has significant experience in the security alarm and healthcare industries.
In the finance area, Mr. Ryan concentrates in the transactional representation of banks, financial institutions, small business investment companies, and other lenders in all aspects of commercial, asset-based, acquisition and mezzanine financings, including “workout” and asset recovery situations. He has extensive experience in the representation of secured lenders to healthcare, security alarm, and other "specialized industry" borrowers.
In his healthcare practice, Mr. Ryan represents health care facilities and providers in transactional matters, including financings, mergers and acquisitions, affiliations and joint ventures, corporate governance, and licensing and certification matters. He has particular expertise in the representation of nursing homes, private medical practices, medical mobility providers and substance abuse and behavioral health facilities.
Mr. Ryan is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association. He received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and his B.A. from George Washington University in Washington D.C.
He resides in West Hartford with his wife and family.
