Benjamin Wiles Leads Innovative Blockchain Course

Benjamin A. Wiles served as co-instructor for a University of Connecticut course entitled “Special Projects in Blockchain”, a unique course cross-listed in the UConn School of Business, UConn Law School, & UConn Department of Engineering.  MBA students, law students & computer science majors formed teams to build working prototypes of distributed ledger applications.  The students explored the basic building blocks of coding distributed ledger applications, the elements of an enforceable “smart contract” & the business use cases for distributed ledger applications.  Some student teams intend to explore continuing their projects through the state’s startup incubators.
