Utilities

Our experience is extensive and covers all aspects of federal, state and local law governing the operation, regulation and financing of public service companies, internet companies, utilities and utility-related projects. This includes Public Service Companies statutes, the Public Health Code, the Connecticut and National Environmental Policy Acts, the Clean Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Clean Air Act, the Federal 1996 Telecommunications Act and municipal codes. We have also been active in all aspects of the deregulation efforts and initiatives in the telecommunications and electric industries within Connecticut, both as a lobbyist for major electric, telecommunication and internet service providers before the General Assembly, and as counsel, representing various clients before the Department of Public Utility Control in telecommunications, electric, gas, water and call-before-you-dig matters. We also provide representation on issues involving and before the FERC and FCC.  As technology advances, we counsel clients on the ever-changing landscape and requirements of deregulated services such as Voiceover IP, Broadband over Powerline, Wi-Fi, Wi-Max and satellite communications.  Our experience not only covers Connecticut but national and international issues.
