Kevin J. McEleney is an associate in the firm’s Hartford office, practicing in the areas of commercial litigation, creditors’ rights and insurance. Mr. McEleney has experience working on complex litigation involving business disputes in a variety of fields and industries.

Mr. McEleney frequently represents clients in federal district court and Connecticut Superior Court regarding contract claims, foreclosures, replevins, evictions and fraudulent transfers of assets.  Mr. McEleney has successfully represented his clients throughout all phases of litigation and alternate dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration and trial. Mr. McEleney represents secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy court and has experience facilitating workouts outside of bankruptcy.

In addition to cases regarding commercial and financial transactions, Mr. McEleney represents insurance clients involved in coverage disputes and defends attorneys and accountants in professional liability matters.

Mr. McEleney received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in Harford, Connecticut, where he graduated with high honors in 2007. Mr. McEleney presently serves as a Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee of the Hartford County Bar Association and a member of the Membership & Marketing Committee of the University of Connecticut Alumni Association.

Mr. McEleney was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in New England for 2011-2012.
