Evan S. Goldstein is a shareholder in the Firm’s Hartford office and is a member of the Firm’s Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy, Commercial Litigation and General Corporate Counsel practice groups. Evan’s experience and practice spans across numerous legal disciplines, including business bankruptcies, creditors’ rights, commercial litigation and acting as general corporate counsel for many Connecticut businesses and organizations. Evan has represented debtors, creditors’ committees, banks, secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy cases and out-of-court workouts. Evan has experience litigating foreclosures, replevins, reclamation of goods, fraudulent conveyance and preference actions. Evan represents several equipment finance and leasing companies across the nation in enforcing the secured creditors rights and remedies in State Court, District Court and Bankruptcy Court. Evan also provides legal advice on a variety of business and corporate matters and acts as general counsel for several manufacturing companies, car dealerships, real estate developers and small/medium size businesses and organizations across Connecticut.

Prior to joining the Firm, Evan was an associate at Reid and Riege, P.C. where he handled commercial bankruptcy matters and related commercial financing transactions.

Attorney Goldstein received his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, New York, New York in 2000. He received his B.A. from University of Vermont, Burlington, Vermont in 1995.

Evan was the Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association, Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section and was selected as a New England Rising Stars Super Lawyer. Evan is an adjunct Professor at Central Connecticut State University in the School of Business, Management and Organization. Evan lives with his wife, Lisa and three children (Grayden, Sammy and Eliana) in Farmington.
