David R. Makarewicz is an associate in the firm’s Hartford office where he focuses his practice in the areas of internet law, appellate law, construction law, insurance coverage litigation, election law, and commercial litigation.
Mr. Makarewicz has appeared before the Connecticut Appellate and Superior Court, as well as the United States Second Circuit Court of Appeals and United States District Court on behalf of a variety of individuals and businesses, including architects, engineers, websites, municipalities, lenders, private schools, property owners, creditors, political candidates and insurers.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Makarewicz was employed as MIS Manager and Director of Computer Training for Team, Inc. in Derby, Connecticut. While at Team, Inc., he also designed and implemented grant programs, including designing and executing a program to extend technology to more than 2,500 low income residents. Prior to working for Team, Inc., Mr. Makarewicz was an Assistant Editor and Staff Writer for Sports Trend Magazine in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mr. Makarewicz received his J.D., Magna Cum Laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, Connecticut and his B.A. in Journalism, Cum Laude, from Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, New Hampshire.
