Valerie M. Ferdon spoke at the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (“CBIA”) annual Employment Law Conference

On November 3, 2022, Attorney Valerie M. Ferdon spoke at the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (“CBIA”) annual Employment Law Conference at Farmington Gardens.  Attorney Ferdon’s segment was geared toward educating the members of CBIA, Connecticut’s largest business organization, on how to best avoid liability in the pre-employment process.  Attorney Ferdon covered background investigations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act requirements, EEOC guidelines on disparate impact discrimination, pre-employment drug testing, and the use of social media to check applicant’s backgrounds.

Valerie M.
